Mark Madsen, DVM

Dr. Madsen was born and raised in Payson, Utah. From an early age, he had an interest in the welfare of animals. He was often found tending to the sick and injured ones which he occasionally hid in his parent's home. (Sorry, Mom!)
Education
Dr. Madsen’s undergraduate studies were completed at Snow College, Utah Valley University, and Brigham Young University. He earned his veterinary degree from Iowa State University of Veterinary Medicine in 2012.

He is a member of the AVMA and UVMA.
Experience
Dr. Madsen has explored a broad range of interests including communicable disease research and zoo/wildlife medicine, but has chosen to work exclusively on companion animals with a focus in soft tissue surgery and wound healing, and a strong interest in anatomic pathology.
Personal Life
Dr. Madsen currently resides in Layton, Utah with his wife Amy, their four children, four cats, and a family dog. He is an accomplished violinist, has appeared in several community theater productions, and enjoys camping, fishing, hiking, shooting and lamp work (working with molten glass.)
